Glenlyon Tearoom

The perfect place to stop to enjoy Glenlyon

Home baked scones, delicious cakes, scrumptious soups and freshly made sandwiches await you

We are situated in Glenlyon, “The longest, loneliest and loveliest glen in Scotland” at Bridge of Balgie, about 11 miles from the village of Fortingall. We operate as a Shop and Off License, stocking all those essential items, and we’re also a local Post Office, as well as a famous Tearoom.

Come and visit our rustic Tearoom with fresh food prepared daily. Soups served with crusty bread are the perfect thing to warm you after taking in walks around some of Scotland’s most fantastic scenery. Or simply have a refreshing break on your drive through, a bowl of soup, a pot of tea with freshly baked scones with homemade jam and cream.  The tearooms are very popular with visitors and locals alike. You can purchase fishing permits in season and also find post cards and small gifts as memoirs of your journey. You will be assured a warm welcome at the Glenlyon Tearoom!
